Historic Homestead Sylvan Glen was built in the 1870s as a farm and orchard in Penrose, one of the newly established towns along the Main Southern Railway. Due to the beauty of the property and its popularity with visitors, not long after it became a Guest House - making it the oldest guest house in the Southern Highlands. Today's Sylvan Glen. In the 1990s Sylvan Glen was restored as a charming and inviting Guest House in the old tradition for a new generation of visitors.
